Our Top 5 Walking Shorts

Here's our selection of the Top 5 Walking Shorts at the moment.

As with most outdoor kit, walking shorts have more than their fare share of technical phrases and acronyms - one to watch for here is DWR - or Durable Water Repellency - which is a waterproofing treatment sprayed onto the outer layer of the fabric.  As the full name suggests, it's not waterproof in itself, but does reduce the amount of water going through the fabric.  If you'd like any help with what to look for in a pair of walking trousers, then click here for our guide.

As we get to see new kit, we'll be updating this page, so keep popping back to stay up-to-date with our selection.

Royal Robbins Everyday Traveller Shorts

Designed to be travelled in, the Royal Robbins Everyday Traveller Shorts feature a mix of spandex to make for a more comfortable and stretchy fit.  There's a soft interior waist band feels great against the skin and wicks moisture away, helping keep you dry.

Pockets?  If you want pockets, then you are in luck, as there's a zip-up side utility pocket, purpose-made for mobile phones and well as two rear pockets (one a drop, one with a zip), thigh zip-up pocket - also with drop-in hand pockets and added accessory pocket.

And with them being from California's Royal Robbins, they are made from quick drying fabric with integrated 50+ UPF protection.
