February

17th - 25th February   (2018 dates)


Over 100 free guided walks suitable for all ages and abilities.  There are plenty of family walks to entertain the little ones over half term, difficult ones for those who like a challenge and many shorter walks on flat terrain for those who are less mobile.

Crickhowell Walking Festival
A walking festival with a difference... There are more than 70 guided walks catering for all ages, abilities and interests - the only common element is that they all take place within the stunning landscape of the Brecon Beacons National Park.

Boroughbridge Easter Walking Festival
Join Boroughbridge Walkers are Welcome in the heart of Yorkshire for walks through time and entertainment, whether its a Roman Ramble, a visit to Rabbit Hill, a guided tour of The Inns of Boroughbridge, or a Treasure Hunt; there's something for all the family.

Chepstow Walking Week

34 cracking walks on offer in the stunning Lower Wye Valley on the borders of England and Wales. Walks varying  in length from 2 - 15 miles there's something for virtually everyone.

Walk Scilly 2018

Come and enjoy a week of themed, guided walks across all the islands.  Enjoy a week of fantastic full day and half day walks across all the inhabited islands and some of the uninhabited ones too.   Now in its 12th year, this very friendly and compact walking festival returns with new walks, new guides and an extended evening programme alongside the popular signature strolls that have helped to make Walk Scilly a firm favourite.  11 days packed full of 37 guided walks across nine islands (four of them uninhabited), wildlife sea safaris, evening talks, music, fun and laughter!

Boscastle Walking Week

A range of walks and activities with local guides in the beautiful coastal village of Boscastle and the surrounding area.  In the tenth year of the festival, there will be an extended range of walks and activities to pick and mix from - suitable for all ages and abilities.  You could join one of our experienced and informed local guides on a ramble to waterfalls or steep climbs to Cornwall’s highest coastal cliff top, or meander along the country lanes and pathways that would have been familiar to the writer Thomas Hardy, whose life-changing visit to Boscastle produced poetry regarded by many as amongst the finest in the English language.

Walk Islay
Walks over six days around Islay, Jura and Colonsay. Take in the beautiful island scenery, from beaches and lochs to mountains and moors with a chance to see eagles, otters, deer, goats and chough.

26th - 28th April


A range of walks around Galashiels and the surrounding area, this event is very much a local festival and is run for the good and benefit of the community.

Dawlish Walking Festival
The third Walking Festival in Dawlish celebrates the wonderful walking in the town, in nearby wooded hills, and by the sea along the red rocky coast.

Haltwhistle Spring Walking Festival
The Northumberland walking festival returns.  We provide your gateway to Hadrian's Wall Country, Northumberland National Park and the North Pennines AONB.  Every day there is a longer and a shorter walk. On four days there will also be a Special Interest walk.

Frodsham Festival of Walks

Frodsham Festival of Walks is a series of guided walks around the Frodsham area, organised by Frodsham Town Council each year.

Mole Valley Ramblers - Spring Walks Festival

A ten day Walks Festival with the aim to encourage anyone to experience the Surrey countryside, exercise for healthy living and walk with a friendly group. There’s something for everyone, short walks, long walks, leisurely to challenging, with pubs, picnics, and even an evening/night walks, plus the challenge to walk 100 miles.

Ulverston WalkFest
Set on the fringe of the beautiful Lake District the annual Ulverston walking festival celebrates the town and surrounding area’s rich history. The festival programme will offer walks for all ages and abilities including the Sir John Barrow Amble, a walk in the footsteps of the Quakers, "Walks for Wheels", nature walks and map reading activities.

Following its rebirth last year, the Isle of Wight Walking Festival returns with local and visiting walkers of all ages and abilities setting off on trails across the Island’s picturesque landscape. Walkers will get up close and personal with the best of the Island's stunning scenery, as they journey from the beautiful chalky cliffs of the west coast to the lush green rolling hills of the east.
